Dr Erin Kasparek is a Naturopathic Doctor accepting patients in the Ottawa area. After graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, she became a licensed practitioner with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). She has further training in pediatric care, biomedical treatment for autism, bio-identical hormone prescribing, as well as doula training to support women in labour.

Erin is a general practitioner with areas of special interest that include:

• Children's Health Concerns: gut health, autism, ADHD

• Immune Health: allergies, chronic colds & flus

• Hormone Health: bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), thyroid issues, menstrual disorders, fertility

• Chronic Complex Illnesses: lyme disease, mold illness, chronic fatigue, environmentally acquired illnesses, auto-immunity

My Passion

In my practice, treatment may start with an acute health concern, but I am most interested in preventive wellness care. I see naturopathic medicine as a team approach, where we are equally invested in your health outcomes. I approach each patient interaction as if I am your guide in a dynamic progression through the lifetime. I also like to use an eclectic approach: some patients will receive acupuncture; some benefit most from herbal therapy, others from dietary changes. I try to meet patients where they are and find the most appropriate strategies that suit their specific lifestyle.

I work with individuals who are searching for a feeling of optimal wellness, and who may not yet have a diagnosed “disease”.

The body is like a puzzle, and investigating dietary factors, nutritional deficiencies, organ system function, hormonal health and lifestyle influences makes all the difference in determining a solution. Finding the root of the issue and addressing it also allows for lasting resolution.

I am happiest when outdoors. In the summers, I like to play tennis, swim and cycle. In the winters, I am happy to try new recipes and zen out in a yoga class.
