Ellen learned the importance of a healthy lifestyle for preventing illness when she obtained her Bachelor of Physical Health and Education from the University of Toronto. She worked as a research associate in the field of Health Psychology which taught her the importance of the mind-body connection and its effects on health status. After completing an internship with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors she knew that the field of naturopathic medicine was the ideal career for applying her passion for healthy living.
Why should patients choose you?
I have been a Naturopathic Doctor since 2009 and have additional training as a Homeopath from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine. In 2015 I received my license as a Homeopath in Ontario. I have additional training in Reiki and Bowen therapy.
What are the top 3 treatments that you specialize in?
I enjoy working with clients to achieve optimal health by identifying and working on their emotional, physical and environmental stressors through nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy and traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I strongly believe that the mind and body are connected to your overall health and wellness. As a primary health care provider, my practice provides ongoing support throughout your healing journey. My role as your Naturopathic Doctor is to assist you in discovering your needs, support you in personal growth and help you reach your health and wellness goals. I believe that happiness and balance is possible for everyone and I am happy to work in a profession where I can share my wellness philosophy.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I am passionate about family wellness and have special interests in women and children’s health. I have experience with reproductive health, working with women through different phases in their lives; to regulate the menstrual cycle, ease PMS symptoms, optimize fertility, provide support during and after pregnancy, maintain breast health and welcome menopause. Children have also been a primary focus in my practice and I believe that setting healthy habits at a young age can be critical for long-term health and wellness.
