Intravenous and Injection Therapy (IV Therapy)

Dr. Clare, ND uses custom formulations prepared to meet the particular needs each patient. The I.V. bag is hung on an I.V. pole or hook on the wall, and the patient sits in a comfortable chair. A small needle is inserted into a vein in your hand or arm to deliver the I.V. treatment. The treatments are generally painless, and the formulation is infused slowly over a period of 30mins to 2.5 hours, depending on the treatment prescribed and your comfort level.

What is the frequency of treatment?

Patients vary in the number of treatments needed, but most require infusions 1 to 3 times per week. Treatment is ongoing as dictated by your individualized program.

Is it safe?

IV Therapy is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive treatment that is well tolerated by most people. It carries a very low risk of serious adverse side effects.

How do I get started with my IV treatments?

1. Call to book an I.V. Initial Visit with Dr. Clare Sullivan.  ($199)

2. In preparation for your appointment, we will send you a lab requisition to complete the necessary bloodwork to ensure you are safe to proceed with I.V. therapy ($150). We require a G6PD, liver and kidney function tests within the last 6 months.

2. During your initial visit, D. Clare will get the details of your health and design an I.V. therapy program that is right for you. IV treatments are generally done in conjunction with other therapies, nutritional and lifestyle interventions

What kind of I.V. therapies are available?

The most common therapies are IV Vitamin C and the Myers Cocktail. However Dr. Clare, ND will individualize each treatment for your specific needs. Here are some other examples of IV treatments:

  • Immune Support: This may include Vit C plus other nutrients that support a proper functioning immune system
  • Energy Boost: for those who are feeling fatigue or are burning the candle at both ends. This is a modified version of a Myers Cocktail
  • Detoxification: This may include Glutathione or Acetylcysteine to support detoxification and liver function.
  • Healthy Skin: Glutathione is a great detoxifier and it also evens out skin tones if you have Liver spots or discoloration.
  • Wound healing: This is helpful in pre or post surgery to aid recovery and repair.
  • Migraine Reliever: Magnesium is one of the main ingredients to help relieve migraine pain.
  • Digestion Supporter: for Celiac, IBD or those who are having digestive difficulty. IV therapy nutrients will aid you in getting your required vitamins and minerals while you work on healing your gut through diet changes and other measures.
  • Menstrual Cramp Reliever: a mix of magnesium and b vitamins to ease your cramps and support hormone balancing.
