Parastoo, aka P2, is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer, Exercise Nutrition Coach, and Reiki Practitioner. She is a multi-sport athlete and particularly fond of rugby, Muay Thai, belly dancing, and downhill skiing. As a life-long athlete, she found purpose in sharing the impact of movement and nourishment on the mind and body. As a consultant, speaker, and coach, P2 is an advocate for strength, empowerment, and education. She combines her passions and experiences to encourage unapologetic authenticity in her clients and community, and to inspire healthier and happier people.I am text block. What led you to become a trainer/nutritionist?

Even though I have always been active, I didn’t always understand the role of food and fitness on my energy, performance, body composition, and mental and physical health. I learned some of these lessons the hard way (as most of us usually do!), which fueled my passion professionally. I used to have very low self-esteem, although it wasn’t always obvious since I’m a loud, happy-go-lucky woman and usually cracking jokes. Truthfully, I experienced body dysmorphia, self-hate, anxiety attacks, and made unhealthy decisions. Eventually I got fed up. I was frustrated that I was constantly sick, never looked like I exercised, and most importantly, that I lacked confidence. So I started on my journey of self-discovery, which led to a change in career.

Because it’s cool to have a health sidekick, and P2 sounds like a transformer, which is reason enough. On a serious note, I’m here to provide clarity to your nutrition and fitness questions, resources to help you overcome your challenges, and provide support that is best suited for you, your goals, and your lifestyle. Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent, a young professional, an athlete, or figuring things out, if you’re ready to commit to yourself, then I’m ready to commit to you.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I’m proud that I offer a safe and inviting space for my clients to be themselves, and feel comfortable to share intimate details with me. In my opinion, access to nutrition and fitness information isn’t the issue; it’s deciphering the overwhelming amount of rules and advice. There is no one-size approach. I try my best to provide more clarity than confusion; to learn from and with you; and to help you help yourself; so you’re empowered to explore all that you are capable of on your own, not just short term, but for life.

What do you do for fun?

In my spare time, I enjoy stargazing, pretending I’m a ninja, and giggling (mostly at myself).
